5 Sisters Press was created in 2016 as a way to help share incredible stories. The name honors the five King Sisters of Boulder Utah. These sisters kept the sound of the typewriter click clacking throughout the 60’s, the 70’s and beyond with epic letters to each other, friends, famous people and even the dead. They wrote poetry, memoirs and the Half ‘n Half newsletter. They fought out loud and on paper. They influenced their own children to either love or hate writing with very little in between. They were beautiful, sexy, independent, epic talkers and wickedly smart. They told their own stories in so many ways and encouraged everyone else to do the same. 5 Sisters Press was created to give voice to such stories.
